Photography has been an integral part of Kim Hui’s life since he was 16 years old. He is a published commercial photographer whom had won numerous awards and recognitions worldwide.
Kim Hui expresses his photography through the Chinese philosophy of Wu Xing, also known as the Five Elements of Nature, a concept that explains the interaction and relationship between the phenomena of nature. A series of works was shown in his solo exhibition “The Sky is not a Limit” in December 2000, as well as the joint exhibition “Into the Light” in June 2001.
Mr Goh’s works have been collected by international museums and private collectors.
In April 2015, Mr Goh received the prestigious Ngee Ann Photographer of the Year 2015, which he had also exhibited his work “Echoes of Nature” at the Ngee Ann Culture Centre.
Currently the President of the Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS), Mr Goh joined the Society in 1971 and has been serving it for the last 44 years. In 2000, Mr Goh received the Honorary Excellent Distinction from the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) for his outstanding contribution to photography.
