TIFA 2024 Winners Opening Event in Budapest

April 7, 2025

The Tokyo International Foto Awards 2024 Winners Exhibition opened with an unforgettable evening at the House of Lucie Budapest, bringing together a vibrant community of photography enthusiasts, creatives, and—most importantly—this year’s extraordinary winners.

We were honored to celebrate the vision and talent of photographers from around the world—both those who joined us in person and those who were with us in spirit. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the opening night and helped make it such a memorable occasion. Your presence, enthusiasm, and support created an atmosphere of joy, connection, and creative inspiration.

It was a true privilege to welcome several of our 2024 TIFA winners in person. Among the distinguished guests were:

  • Abdelrahman Alkahlout– Photographer of the Year
  • Simone Bissoli – Discovery of the Year
  • Simon Heather  – 1st Place, Special / Non-Pro
Monika Maroziene – 1st Place, Fine Art / Pro
  • Elihu Alejo – Silver, Fine Art / Special Effects / Pro
  • Juerg Keller – Silver, Advertising / Automotive / Non-Pro

Having these incredibly talented photographers with us in Budapest was a true honor. Their presence brought a special energy to the opening event and added a personal connection to the outstanding work on display.

The exhibition showcased 44 award-winning images, presenting a powerful visual journey through the perspectives of 1st and 2nd place winners across 11 categories. In addition to the printed works, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners’ projects were displayed on-screen throughout the gallery space.

To all who visited, supported, and celebrated the artistry of this year's winners—thank you. The TIFA community thrives because of your passion and presence, and we look forward to welcoming you again at future exhibitions around the world.
