Since the beginning, the world of Reine Paradis has been vibrant and colorful. Growing up in the countryside of South France, Paradis cultivated her awareness and imagination alongside her picturesque surroundings. After studying art in Paris, she then moved to Los Angeles in 2012, where she instantly felt inspired by the new landscape and started developing Jungle; her first photographic series. Many of the photographs were shot in Los Angeles, however some of the locations were a bit more exotic, like a mountain glacier, a desert gulch, and a lake inside of a crater; each discovery is a story in and of itself. All the objects are meticulously designed and placed within the scene, along with Paradis herself as the central figure.

Born in 1989 and graduated from the Gobelins School of Visual Communication in Paris, Reine Paradis is among the primitives of the future of art. She flew off to Los Angeles in 2012. There, distant from the weight of history that at times asphyxiates European Art, she found her own phrasing. The artist feels free under California skies. Her photos open a new avenue in contemporary creation, and offer a spectacular, exhilarating headway in their purpose and in the art of today: the artist sows some confusion and a joy most welcome in the present leaden world.
