By photographing the collection of Japanese kimonos by Monika Tatiana Idzikowska in the 16th-century interiors of the palace in Gorzanów, I made an attempt to connect three seemingly distant worlds - Japan in the Heian period, Renaissance Europe, and modern times. So my photos became a time travel story about the constant pursuit for harmony and happiness in ourselves and the world around us. To emphasize the atmosphere, the photos are printed on Japanese paper Awagami Murokumo Kozo Select.
