This female polar bear was wandering along the ice edge and in front of a huge glacial snout in the small cove of Isbukta on the eastern coast of Svalbard. The glacier was an imposing wall of ice that dwarfed this 200kg polar bear. Although this scene was mesmerising it also a poignant one. A glacier and polar bear - two icons of the Arctic and both with uncertain futures in the face of climate change.
