This set of portraits was born from a series of conversations about sexual dissidence and gender identity in the context of Central America and Latin America in general. The photographs have been staged in conjunction with the people being portrayed in an attempt to show them as they wanna be seen and not to fall in the othering that the photographer/subject relationship often creates, particularly when documenting marginalised communities.
