In Rome, in 2011 about two hundred people, seventy families, occupy a former sausage factory (Fiorucci), abandoned in 1978, in Via Prenestina. They are people of different ethnicities: Romani, Peruvians, Africans, Eritreans. Together they engage to build a mestizo city starting from the indispensable infrastructures. Activists, organized groups for the right to housing, support them and help protect this place. Street artists begin to make works on the walls of the building. The inhabitants of the Metropoliz have been living together peacefully integrated with each other.
