This is an artist book that combines handmade photographic prints with Japanese style poetry (haiku and tanka) by me. The book "suspended in between" is inspired by the aesthetics of wabi-sabi and celebrates the ephemeral beauty of all that is imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. Roland Barthes famously pointed out the kinship between haiku and photography. My book combines these two practices under one cover. All images in the book are unique pigment lift transfers to Shoji Gami paper. Ed. unique
