The photo was taken from a drone from a height of about 30m. It pictures the freezing surface of a large pond. What you see are shapes created by nature, the slow process of thawing. Where the ice is thinner, there the light reflects differently, thus creating amazing shapes-fractals, something like neurons. This is a great field for interpretation of what we see. Here I see the shape of a whale or an anglerfish (such a deep-sea fish), but someone else may see a chameleon, a spilled coffee stain...
