This work explores the theme of coexistence between the city and nature. On a night when a fierce thunderstorm struck Tokyo, one of the world’s largest metropolises, lightning of a scale far surpassing the buildings illuminated the city. That day, an extraordinary number of lightning strikes occurred, and I managed to capture a few. This one is by far the most beautiful yet terrifying. Through this work, I hope to convey the fury of nature, which is beyond human control, once again and inspire people to consider even small actions towards the environment and disaster preparedness.
