It can take some time to find the beauty in ordinary subjects, but that is precisely the essence. When I look long enough to a framed reality it changes slowly into an infinite illusion. Along the coast of the province of Zeeland, The Netherlands, where I live, there are buildings, structures and poles in the sea. Not so pretty at first sight but when I 'take time' to have a closer look they can change into interesting subjects. With the long exposures I use to photograph these subjects I push myself to work slower and to deepen my photography by minimizing the image to the very essence.
