The White Rose (De Witte Roos) is a 13 story social housing project in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, designed by 25H Architects. Its organic shapes look different from all points of view and is beautiful to its tiniest details. I photographed the building, looking up onto its four corners and rejoined them in this composition as a tribute to the design of this sparkling jewel of Dutch architecture.

I am a Dutch artist that lives and works in Almere, near Amsterdam. In 1990 I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg in photography, painting and drawing. Since the development of digital photography my camera and computer have become important tools for creation. Because of my fascination with patterns, music scores, languages and other types of structures, my work always has been inhabited by geometric shapes, lines and rhythm. My current passion is the abstract beauty of architecture. Through my photographic work I hope to inspire and touch people's souls with visual music.
