These collages were part of a series of analogue rejected photographs. In 1995 I collected the photographs from a high street camera shop who were also photographic printers. The print machine printed the images which were then thrown away as print failures, often a whole roll of film would be rejected by the specialist printer but celebrated by me. Later the print machines were more sophisticated and could detect Failures. I was interested in the abstract quality of the failures which were often the interior of the camera or the end of a roll of film.
