The river represents the life of many generations, often divided into different nations. When we look at the river at the turn of history, it has always been here, and everything around it has changed. Human existence is only a small fraction of the river’s life, but each person leaves a small trace, resembling the place where he lives, the place of which he is a temporary creator. The "River" project was awarded and presented at, Fotofestiwal in Łódź, Praque Photo, Month of Photography in Bratislava, Festiwal of Photography in Rybnik.

Michal Konrad (born Michal Smuda)concept photographer, born in 1983 in Wodzislaw Sllski. Member of the Association Polish Art Photographers in Katowice. Student of the Institute Tvurcí Fotografie Philosophical-Prírodovedecké Fakulty Slezské Univerzity v Opave (Czech Republic). High school teacher.
