Beauty through the ages

In my personal long-term project "BEAUTY THROUGH THE AGES" I have been exploring the changing ideal of beauty over the last 100 years and its manifestations and influences from music, art, consumption and design. My aim was not to accurately reflect the ideal of beauty of a particular decade in my photographs, but to use history as inspiration to reflect my view of the time, the subject and also the influence on me and my creativity today. My work is also always inspired by the unique beauty and strength of women. Additionally, I have a passion for detail, bold cuts and colour harmonies.

I am an emerging German photographer based in Düsseldorf, specialising in beauty photography. After graduating from the University of Applied Sciences Niederrhein with a degree in Communication Design, I founded my own scouting agency and worked for three years with a large network of well-known model agencies to place new face models worldwide. The lack of time to pursue my true passion, photography, led to a change of direction. After gaining experience as an assistant in London, I now work as a freelance photographer and am about to finish my Masters in Photographic Studies.
