The demolition of Quinta da Parvoíce, the last neighborhood of shacks in the city of Setúbal, should be completed by the end of the year, with a public housing neighborhood planned for the site. In the first phase, 4,328 square meters of fiber cement sheets are removed, which contain asbestos. It is hoped that the process of relocating the 72 families that lived in the neighborhood will be the beginning of a new life for this community made up of people from the former Portuguese colonies, Angola, Cape Verde, São Tomé, etc…
