Ohio, USA is known for many things. It attracts headlines, businesses, and people for many reasons; and for those who live here it can feel like the center of the universe. For others, it can feel like the middle of nowhere. Our cities are populous and progressive, and our rural areas are vast and traditional. Ohio has many personalities, like the many facets of a cut stone; but this series explores Ohio's rural roots from an outsider's perspective. A city-dwelling photographer seeing the sites from the side of the road, eager to understand the lives of those that differ from my own.
