the wildebeest is called the poor mans buffalo. To be honest I never fully understood this phrase. i’m fascinated by wilderbeests, ok not by their intelligence. however there is something which always draws me to them as one of the ugly five. sometimes everything just comes easily together, the challenge is to recognize the beauty of nature before the status quo has changed, everything is on the move and in flow. these rare moments and challenging shots to master are the reason why wildlife photography is even after more than one decade still fascinating me - who is who, perfect symmetry for

i am not a professional photographer, but photography and journalism is my profession. photo-journalism and traveling is my most favorite field, especially if some african country is involved. the first moment I set foot on African soil a was in love with that continent, the people and the animals. besides that I have an affinity for meditation, clear lines and the beauty of perpective. both personal professions can be found in my photographs, sometimes both combined.
