This was captured from main festival of Hokkaido called the Sapporo Festival with a history going back over a century. This little girl was wearing traditional costume and celebrating around the city, a cute smile was captured when she saw my camera. On every June 16, a line of more than a thousand people in traditional costumes parades around the city. The parade starts at Hokkaido Shrine in Maruyama and reaches central Sapporo in the afternoon. Traditional dedication ceremonies are held at the shrine, where many festival stalls and other attractions are also set up.
