This image captures the change in leaf colour of a Smoke bush as they are shed in the Autumn. Their lollipop shapes were reminiscent of a set of traffic lights going from green through yellow to red showing a palette of evolving colours over time as photosynthesis reduces and daylight lessens.

I am a photographic artist living and working in the seaside city of Brighton and Hove. I have a variety of photographic based interests and like to explore image interpretation by using a number of different techniques such as camera-less, analogue and digital media, respectively. This stems from challenging myself to create images that attempt to capture the depth, shape and visual impact of the proposed subject matter by presenting it on media that enables an organic type of investigation. It is very much an evolving process, encouraging me to closely examine the living and abstract world.
