In autumn, the blooming and colorful fields and meadows of summer turn into barren gray landscapes with withered grasses and other plants. Not many close-up photographers go there in search of motifs during this time. I did and was surprised and fascinated at the same time by the interesting variety of appearances I found. Over many weeks I collected withered plants, carefully cleaned and photographed them. The motifs impressed me simply by their plainness, the interesting and contrasting structures, so that each plant in its own way embodies a personality like a "being".

I’ am a Paderborn based amateur photographer from Germany. I have been working intensively with photography for about 15 years. In the course of time, I discovered my passion for the small and inconspicuous things in our world and specialized in artistic close-up and macro photography.
