When we’re young, we think we’ll live forever. As we age, we recognize the transient and fragile nature of life. In this series, "The Stories We Keep,” I use still life as an allegory for the passage of time. Through the use of metaphor and memory, I have addressed fundamental emotions associated with time such as nostalgia, regret, wonder, and optimism and have come to terms with a personal and perhaps the universal quest to delay the passage time. In asking ourselves what lies beyond these cherished objects, we come closer to connecting with the answers we seek.
