In creating this work, I looked for a way to directly enable a dialogue with light. Therefore, I removed the camera lens and used my hand as a cylinder instead of it. I supposed the hand lens could play a role in converging light and making an image due to the principle of a pinhole. The pictures I took reminded me of "camera obscura.”The first successful image taken through a window on the second floor at my home through the method with repeated tests resembles the photograph "View from the Window at Le Gras" taken by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce for the first time in the world at his home.
