Pura Vida

Taken in Costa Rica on the last day of 2022. While taking a few shots minutes apart to capture different light moods and playing around a bit with other settings I realized a surfer entering my scene. So I timed it and used him as an interest in my photo. With the surfer's silhouette in the otherwise rather boring scene I think this image depicts the Costa Rican way of life "Pura Vida" in a fitting manner.

Born in 1979, I am an amateur photographer living in Switzerland in the surroundings of Zurich. In my spare time and when travelling I take joy in doing photography. Although I generally do not consider myself a very patient person, making pictures is often relaxing and calming and I can easily spend an hour or two in the same spot taking it all in, finding compositions, refining a composition and waiting for the light. I focus on landscape and cityscape photography. For quite some time now I feel myself more and more drawn to landscapes – where I am trying to find my masterpiece shot. ;-)
