Humanity lives at tremendous speeds. Progress has turned us into a consumer society. We lost ancient knowledge how to communicate with nature, often destroying and exploiting it. Landscape photography teaches us a deep and contemplative attitude. Due to the ability to listen and admire nature, a person finds harmony. The photo was taken during the rain in Svetloye Lake of the Yergaki Nature Park, located in the south of the Krasnoyarsk region in the Western Sayan Mountains.

Marina Ogneva is a self-taught nature photographer but has been shooting professionally for more than 13 years now. She is a member of the Union of Photographers of Russia and a participant in numerous photo expeditions to Baikal, Altai, the Urals, Kamchatka and Transbaikalia. Marina uses photography as a tool for inner dialogue and calm deep contemplation. Over the years, photography has gradually evolved into a powerful therapeutic tool, a kind of training for the mind, soul, and body. Originally hailing from Kyrgyzstan, Marina Ogneva is currently based in Krasnoyarsk region (Siberia).
