We could experience a rare and overwhelming natural phenomenon in Warta Mouth National Park (Polish: Park Narodowy Ujście Warty). Millions of tiny spiders covered the entire landscape with their webs in a collective masterpiece in just one afternoon. When we arrived, we learned that the entire area would be flooded a few hours later due to the high water of the Oder. It was a warm day and the air was full of insects. Large flocks of swallows flew over the water to hunt insects. The next day we couldn't visit the site because of the flood. I wonder what happened to the diligent spiders.
