Pink Resonance

This deeply personal series is a means of healing childhood emotional trauma in order to redress the unintentionally altered. Since I was young, I loved pink. Around age 7 or 8, I remember dress shopping and falling in love with a light pink one. I was told that "blue looks better on you" and was denied the dress. Although small, that interaction began sowing seeds of my opinion being disregarded which I internalized as what I have to say not mattering. This series is a way of taking back my power and voice. Shannon’s emotions here range from the unseen to timidity, reflection and triumph.
