Inspiration can strike anywhere and by any means. The creation of these images was galvanized by a watercolor series, “Flowers With Legs,” by American artist, Kristen Elaine Whalen. The original painting, “Coffee is My Frog Prince,” depicts a lovely woman sipping a cup of coffee with her face behind a large white flower. In my adaptation of “Coffee is My Frog Prince,” since I am not a coffee lover, except for coffee ice cream, I wanted to create a beautifully demure woman with a dazzling personality and a bit of grit. She became known as “Ensie in Bloom.” MUA: Rebecca Gao Blooming: Ensie
