This is the essence of an encounter in the icy waters of Greenland. The focal point is an iceberg of awe-inspiring proportions, standing as a silent sentinel of time. Its towering presence dwarfs the senses, evoking a profound sense of humility and wonder. Contrasting against it, a small sailing boat. This vessel seems almost incongruous, an audacious interloper in the land of giants. It symbolizes human aspiration and courage, navigating the frigid unknown. The juxtaposition of the colossal iceberg and the diminutive boat creates a visual dialogue between nature's grandeur and human ambition.

Thibault Gerbaldi is a self-taught Leica photographer and passionate traveler, known for authentic stories from the world’s most remote regions. His work spans landscapes from Greenland to India, blending documentary, travel, and portrait. He has self-published seven books and earned recognition: 1st at Siena Awards 2025, International Photo Awards 2025, and TPOTY Rising Talent (2024). Exhibited globally and featured in LFI and LENS Magazine. As a board member of The Forgotten International, he supports humanitarian projects.
