The Plaça Europa 31, in Barcelona, is an office building which was designed by 2017 Pritzker Prize winners, RCR Arquitectes. The building consists of a repeated sequence of metal ribs that form a stepped façade. The panes of glass are set between the ribs creating an interplay of light and shadow that changes throughout the day, giving the building a visually captivating presence and favouring energy efficiency. On that series, the hyper contrasting highlights on the edge of the black metal ribs, mimics the iconic pinstripes fabric which is perfectly in-tune with the building's vocation.
