Korea tends to prefer things that don’t stand out. It values uniformity and efficiency over individuality, and Seoul reflects that perfectly. The city is filled with square, similar buildings and towering skyscrapers, all neatly arranged. If uniformity defines beauty, then Seoul is stunning. But to me, it feels cold and lacking in character. The uniqueness I’ve seen in other countries is missing here. It’s not wrong, just different. I accept it and capture it as it is. And despite everything, I still love this city.
