The idea behind the Grain of sand series is to humanize architecture to make it easier for humans to relate to and appreciate its magnificence. The power of the architectural elements and buildings, their volumes, shapes and lines is enhanced through the juxtaposition of a tiny human figure, a little grain of sand which is still part of a whole. The use of bright colours and the high key style help creating kind of surreal atmosphere.
