Every year, thousands of mountaineers and trekkers from around the world visit Karakoram range in Pakistan, to climb or just to see one of the highest peaks on earth. But what many don't realize is that behind every expedition are the unseen heroes, the Pakistani high-altitude porters, who carry the equipment and supplies necessary for the climbers to reach their goals. Despite their essential role, these porters are often overlooked and underappreciated.
