Since 2013, I've been crafting abstract photographic works using a technique that directly exposes instant film. Yet, it's through the high-resolution scanning of this film that I unearth landscapes reminiscent of otherworldly realms. I'm drawn to this blend of intentionality and happenstance in my artistic process because, to me, it mirrors a reality of life. The mingling photosensitive emulsions within a few square centimeters resemble, mysteriously, the surface of the Earth as viewed from above.

Born in Tokyo in 1973. After dropping out of Tamagawa University's Department of Art, he studied contemporary art at the B-semi schooling system and Bigakko, and since 1997 has exhibited mainly installation works in solo and group shows. After working for a design company for three and a half years, he established FORM::PROCESS in 2002 and has been working as an art director and designer, winning The One Show GOLD in 2007 and other advertising and design awards in Japan and abroad.
