Combination of creative composition elements with careful lighting to create a visually simple and aesthetically pleasing portrait highlighting the natural beauty of a black woman. The white stripe vertically cutting across the face is a compositional element that was used to highlight the woman's strength, as if it were metaphorically necessary to be more than one person to survive current adversities. Tungsten lights were used to produce a warm, orange tone, with the intention of creating an intimate and welcoming environment. The type of lighting you choose adds a vibrant feel.
