Dragon Catches The Pearl

Mythical Chinese dragons are often depicted chasing or holding a flaming pearl--a symbol of spiritual prosperity, power or wisdom. In this candid shot taken in the early morning on the Bund, dragon dancers toss their dragons high into the air to seemingly hover above the "Pearl" Tower, an iconic landmark in Shanghai's Lujiazui financial district.
