In Liguria, a small region of Italy, people go to the seaside almost exclusively to relax. I was also on the beach intent on enjoying the sun and the sea when suddenly the quiet of this typical Ligurian summer day was interrupted by a group of boys intent on diving from a small pier. I took this photograph to immortalize the contrast between the "slow life" of a relaxing day and the energetic movement released by this boy
