Most Korean temples are designed to harmonize with nature. Temples are often located deep in the mountains, arranged in alignment with the surrounding landscape, emphasizing the idea of cultivating the mind within nature. Unlike temples in Japan and China, Korean temples focus on blending with the environment rather than grand structures.
