To The Sea

The Sea has inspired the finest poems and pieces of art throughout history. This does not only apply to the act of sailing like in Homer’s Odyssey, but also to a specific mindset moulded by space, by waves and by seagulls’ voice. This uniqueness arises also in peculiar architecture structures or simple shapes which belong to the Sea till the extent that when we see them in a postcard we can feel the breeze and smell the sent of the Sea.
The Sea becomes itself an inner matter, to the point that you don't know whether you are looking outside or projecting what you are feeling inside

Floriana Avellino is a chameleonic photographer from Monza, Northern Italy. Being naturally allergic to labels Floriana is really inspired by any photographic genre considering each genre not so much a way of capturing reality but of interpreting and sharing a personal vision of it in a specific moment or situation. In that process the observer mixes up with their subject of observation and there she sees a chance to build a bridge towards the outer world and other human beings meeting them in what we all have got in common (inner emotions, hopes and fears).
