The infinity of darkness, of the night—those territories that elude consciousness—can be brought to the surface through introspection, with just a play of light. This image illustrates the inner journey into the unknown that each person carries within, symbolizing the exploration of the unconscious. It evokes the complex struggle that introspection represents. By diving deep into oneself, one confronts internal conflicts and unresolved family legacies, seeking to untangle the knots of personal and familial issues. It is a path toward self-discovery, leading to greater inner clarity.
I draw my inspiration from painting, particularly from the Symbolist, Art Nouveau, and Pre-Raphaelite movements. Conceived as pictorial works, my photographs, sometimes dark, sometimes luminous, have a philosophical or psychological background through the use of archetypes and symbols. Whether through the exploration of a myth, questioning our relationship with nature and beauty, or even questioning our beliefs, there is also a passionate desire hidden in these photos to re-enchant the world and give meaning to our reality.
