Melina Bismuth’s creations take as material hundreds of photographs, which linked together, construct facades, planets, floating shapes or optical distortions. An original pairing of realism and abstraction through which the artist works to undo and remake the world. In the Rebuild series, she questions the barriers between the outside and the inside worlds, public and intimate through photographs of urban construction sites and their scaffold sheetings. Her practice stretches space and time. The Rebuild series testifies of 6 years shooting through more than 40 cities.
