Friends with benefits is a personal representation of our capitalist society. We think that we are free individuals but society creates a need to be part of anything, a brand, a style of life, a group,..this society makes us think that buying a particular product, you can be part of one particular mass where you will feel safe, comfortable and even free. With open handcuffs I have tried to create two very prominent logos(Chanel & Mc) of a capitalist society. That is the moment when you still believe that you are following your own path to be caught later by big companies, which also need us.

My name is Axel Calvet. I am a professional photographer who has always been fascinated in the creative world of photography. Studying Image (cinema, video, photography) in Barcelona launched my commitment to photography as a career. DO WHAT YOU LOVE! Fashion photography fascinated me from my childhood, so I decided to improve my skills as an assistant to different photographers and later on I consolidated my experience in other photographic disciplines, such as advertising, art and portrait photography. In addition, I have been published in international fashion magazines.
