Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason (73) describes himself as a fanatical car enthusiast. “Cars came before music in my life because when I was a small boy rock and roll hadn’t been invented yet”, he says. In the mid-1970s Nick bought a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO using a tranche of Dark Side of the Moon royalties and today he still drives it as if it were an everyday car. "This Ferrari is part of my life, it's like a pet, you can't sell it: I’d rather be the guy that has got the GTO than the guy that sold the GTO”. He smiles, like a child playing with his favorite toy.
