This is a portrait of my wife, taken during her chemotherapy for breast cancer. The production of the portrait was a collaboration, with discussion at every stage including the final image-selection. The photograph serves to document this period in our lives and the challenges associated with life-changing illness. I hope that the image reflects both the incredible fortitude that my wife has demonstrated, and as the vulnerability that she has felt at various stages of her treatment. The portrait was taken at home using available light during a period of strict isolation during the coronavirus.
