The Hong Kong government implements North East New Territories New Development Areas Planning, which involves converting several rural areas into residential and commercial land. Ma Shi Po Village is one of the villages undergoing demolition. The average age of the people in the village is over 60 years old. They all depend on agriculture for their livelihoods. Some of the villagers’ homes have been driven out by government officials using raids.

Leung Man Hei was born in 1999 and grew up in Hong Kong.
