Close-ups of the Swiss Synchronized Swimming team training for the 2022 European Championship. These pictures were taken in Verona, during a 2 days shooting session, wanted by coach Rossella Pibiri, to document the work carried on by coaches and athletes. These days the sun was very strong and, during the shooting, I couldn't notice the faces of the athletes, showing almost no effort while swimming their routines. Later, while post-producing the pictures I zoomed in, blowing up the details of their faces a, composed, harmonic and weightless during the entire strenous training session.

Giovanni Paolo Stalloni lives in Rome and works between Rome, Milan and Paris. Former architect, from 2015 he decided to dedicate himself to street photography and documentary projects as well as working in commercial assignments taking pictures of architecture, food, lifestyle and art. The focus of his personal work is the exploration of the relationship between people and the territory they inhabit, concentrating on urban spaces. His main themes are: people daily life, urban architecture and means of transport.
