My photographs are studies and expressions of the female form, my form - I am both the model and photographer. For most of my life I’ve been uncomfortable being photographed and exposing my body due to unsolicited, lewd attention received as a child and young woman. Now as a mature woman I’ve been working to challenge myself through my art and present my form to the viewer on my own terms. My nudes are influenced by light and its effect on my form. I’m drawn to the geometric shapes and angles I see presenting these captures as a result.

My photographs are studies and expressions of my form. I grew up in a strict household and for most of my life I’ve been uncomfortable being photographed and exposing my body - even at the beach. Now as a mature woman I’ve been working to challenge myself through my art, be comfortable in my body and present my form to the viewer on my terms. My shooting style is spontaneous, influenced by light and its effect on form. I’m drawn to the geometric shapes I see and work to capture that moment in my work.
