CONFUSION conveys the chaos that I felt when we were all hit by the unknown at the beginning of 2020 by COVID. Patterns and colours created through in-camera multi-exposure and creative processing express how I encountered the drastic changes that happened during the first few months. The sudden impact of blurred reality, fear and confusion. The series was inspired by the cocoon like Expo Hall, by King Shih Architects in the Fine Arts Museum Park in Taipei, designed for the Taipei International Gardening and Horticulture exposition in 2010.

With a background in surface science, I am drawn to details, patterns, textures, forms and colours that surround us and influence our feelings. They are the basis of my inspiration and provide the frames to my works. Through the combination of various camera techniques, I transform these frames and their colours into abstracts that bring my visual imagination to life. Having lived in a variety of countries I have the strong desire to bridge the gap of cultural differences and raise awareness to the beauty of nature through my works.
