The vibrant colours in DIALOGUE symbolise the 5 elements in Tibetan culture that are the building blocks of all that is created, symbols that are at the centre of every cosmo-theory. When these elements are placed in the right sequence – thus in balance - they produce a harmonic dialogue among themselves and with the universe. External forces may disturb this dialogue, resulting for example in natural disasters. The harmony illustrated through these symbols is a reminder to protect the balance and beauty of this planet. With a background in surface science, I am drawn to details, patterns, textures, forms and colours that surround us and influence our feelings. They are the basis of my inspiration and provide the frames to my works. Through the combination of various camera techniques, I transform these frames and their colours into abstracts that bring my visual imagination to life. Having lived in a variety of countries I have the strong desire to bridge the gap of cultural differences and raise awareness to the beauty of nature through my works.
