Comet C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) moved very low above the horizon and could only be seen a good hour before sunrise, when the horizon was already quite bright. Despite the fact that its brightness rose to magnitude 4 and even more, it was necessary to catch it as soon as it appeared, because within the next half an hour it began to visibly disappear in the light of the new day.
